Tanzania Agricultural Association (TASO) announced NGO’s first winner in exhibiting farm products and related technology. The first winner was Mtandao wa vikundi vya wakulina Monduli and longido (MVIWAMO).

The slogan of year’s (2012) exhibition is “Kilimo Kwanza, Applying Science and Technology to meet the needs of a growing population”. In this photo farmers were in exhibition hall showing value added products.

Farmers’ exhibition is the annual gathering of farmers displaying their products and technology they are using in production, processing and marketing, usually is done in August. MVIWAMO is one of the farmers organization participating in this exhibition. Photo above is the part of the demonstration plot

CSOs Excellence award 2010,MVIWAMO firstrun-up, as outstanding contribution Award.

The Civil Society Organizations’ Annual Forum held from 21st to 23rd November 2011 at Ubungo Plaza in Dar es Salaam whereby more than 350 representatives from CSOs countrywide attended.  The annual forum prepared and hosted by THE FOUNDATION FOR CIVIL SOCIETY.


Annual Forum of CSOs aim to discuss various national issues and to evaluate the trend and performance of the civil society sector in Tanzania since independence. The theme for this year's forum is “50 Years of Independence: The Role of CSOs in Building the Nation”. 

During the Annual Forum, the event of CSOs Excellence Award took place on 23rd November, which MVIWAMO had second chance in CSOs Excellence award, as outstanding contribution Award. 

 


MVIWAMO through TAP/ACT participated in a workshop on Cereals export bans. The workshop address constrains to trade in Tanzania with emphasis on Cereal export bans and impact of trade barriers on small scale farmers in Tanzania.
