Landany Secondary School is an Academic Institution which was formed and found by one of the organizational departments which is the Educational Department of the N.G.O of 'Shake Hands Youth Organization',after the birth of this academic institution in June,2005, the institution begun to render academic services for orphans and marginalised poor children to the societies around as one of the Organizational objectives untill when the governmet under the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training through the National Examinations Council of Tanzania offered an official Registration Number P.5059 to this institute in 23rd,April,2007 whereas by this registration,the institution enabled Form Four Students to sit for the first National Examinations in 2008 through Private Candidates system as the first products or bunch from this Academic institute under the N.G.O's Board of Management.
The School is owned and operated fully under the Organization namely "SHAKE HANDS YOUTH ORGANIZATION(N.G.O) Whose registration Number is 00NGO/0345 With one of the objectives of investing in formal education and Non-formal education inorder to empower orphans and marginalised poor children academically as well as socially.
The school since its establishment is struggling hard to offer high quality education in Tanzania. However the Organization's development has become by facts an academic excellence and will continue to be unique and broadly based on offering quality education to young and adult peoples through its Academic Institution(s) or School(s).
Shake Hands Youth Organization is playing major roles on promoting the change of culture to Tanzania's Parents for prefering the home based education rather than taking their children to abroad for search of quality education.This is done here by strengthening school management and building capacity to students so that they may have good education foundation for further progressive education both domestically and internationally as well as saving the exportation of foreign currency outside the country.
Landany Secondary School is basically using the Tanzanian National curriculum and syllubus like other Government or Public owned Schools in our Country.
The Organization's Leadership commitment and achievements which is headed by An activist, founder and Executive Director, Honorable Mwl. Murasi Abraham Joseph, whose vision is to plant the Schools Project Investments of formal education and Non-formal education in collaboration with other members are currently struggling to extend formal education from the Pre-Primary,Primary and Secondary Schools, Colleges,Vocational Training and Universities on the way(truck) as their main mission to sons and daughters of this nation(Tanzania)as one weapon for fighting against poverty,ignorance and diseases in particular.
Shakeke Hands Youth Organization's Family builds up a nation with admired reputation for excellence as they offer recognized education pursuits and opportunities through its educational Institution(s) by practical means as can be seen to the societies around.
AREA OF ACTION.
The area of action to our Academic Institutions is in the United Republic of Tanzania,especially the Mainland Tanzania.
STATUS
This Academic Institute is a NOn-Political, Non-Religious and Non-Governmental Institution for the purpose of carrying out the aims and objectives of education and academic programmes as the main target of the organization.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
As it has been stated before,the idea Founder,Honorable Mwl. Murasi Abraham Joseph who is also the Executive Director of "Shake Hands Youth Organization" had a dream to establish education Institution(s) which rest on the following objectives as mentioned below;-
(i)A School(s) in which all participants can actualize far greater proportion of their intellectualism and abilities.
(ii)School(s) whose practices reflect vast majority of scientific findings about the human brain,mind and about human learning perfomance and productivity that have emerged over the past several decades but not found their way into standard classrooms practices.
(iii)School(s)where enough of the right things and good ethics(values) are done together to make a meaningful human difference.
(iv)School(s) inwhich people are stimulated and encouraged to help initiate a new renaissance in science and technology together with culture and arts in the contemporary world.
(v)School(s) which produce,create and graduate not narrowly-based secondary leavers but also time and competent students who domestically and internationally can work in several fields simultaneously.
(vi)School(s)which provide educational services bywhich the rate to be charged are to be at minimal costs and reasonable for marginalised poor families and affordable to medium and low-income earners(parents) that would allow many Tanzanian parrents to enable their children to acquire the right of education as one among the basic fundamental rights in the constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania.
