Orphans and vulnerable children are being provided with school materials after being educated about the "Child's Rights". Here is at Kinku village on 23rd January 2016
Orphans and Vulnerable Children Care (OVCC) drama is showing an example on how the orphans children are at other homes are harshly or unfairly treated.Abrother with a white gallon is acting as an orphan child while other two people act as normal children with their mother beside. When it reaches the times for meals, the cruel mother keep an orphans child busy so that he misses the meals.And when it comes the time to go school,the cruel mother tells the orphan child to go and look after the cattle while her own children are going to attend school. This show caused many of the attendants to cry with tears down their cheeks while the show was going on. At the end of the show, all the attendants, orphans and vulnerable children, caregivers, village's leaders and other villagers understood the lesson and responded that they wouldn't treat the orphans they live with in such a way. This workshop took place at Kinku village on 23rd January 2016 when OVCC organization was on her work.
The Lighwa village's Chairman is standing and close the Workshop while thanking OVCC organization for their great work they have done in his village to educate the caregivers with the children and also for the support they have provided. He said that he won't forget the date which is 19th Dec, 2015 that Lighwa village has got good guests who have helped his village. He urged OVCC to be back to his village again as soon as possible.
One of the caregivers who was in worse situation in life, while he also taking care of the other orphans children, was provided by OVCC some clothes (a suit) that he may with hope continue to take care of the orphans children he lives with. At Lighwa village the orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers and the other villagers are listening to the facilitator who was educating them about the value of the child as a resource to the life if they are well cared for. OVCC Coordinator, Mr. Bernard Sungi is educating the children with their caregivers about The Child's Rights at Mwisi village on 28th Nov, 2015. here the caregivers were given an opportunity to share their ideas and opinions on how the engage themselves in caring for the orphans and vulnerable children. The ideas were valued and later on all together concluded that we are the one responsible to care for the orphans and vulnerable around us in the villages. All people were touched and sensitized by the Education offered by Mr. Sungi and with one voice they have agreed to care for the orphans and vulnerable children around them.About 201 orphans and vulnerable children and about 72 caregivers and parents attended the event.

The OVCC drama group is educating the caregivers and the orphans and vulnerable children on how other caregivers do treat unfairly the orphans children they live with. It i true that the caregivers were mentally moved forward from the level of their understanding about the necessity of well caring for an orphan child. They were educated about the benefits they would earn after bringing the orphans children they care for to school that there is a day that they would be hired or get a good job so that they will remember them for nice gifts, money, build good houses, etc. Here also is at Mungaa village when OVCC conducted training on 17th October 2015.
Orphans children with no both parents are given school uniforms so that they can develop in their leaning at school. The event was done at Mungaa village on 17th October 2015 when OVCC organization also conducted training to the caregivers and the orphans and vulnerable children too. In this training, most of the caregivers were touched to make sure that the orphans children they care for are well cared for and get their basic rights like the other children.
