It was a nice and good opportunity that OVCC members met with orphans and vulnerable children, caregivers and other village's government leaders at Sepuka village on 12th July, 2014 when OVCC was able to educate the caregivers and the orphans and vulnerable children about Child's Rights that the caregivers and even the other villages would treat orphans and vulnerable children. Real people at Sepuka village enjoyed the teachings that OVCC offered on that day because there are caregivers who harshly mistreat the orphans and vulnerable children by not to send to school and instead send them to take care of cattle, goats and sheep. Through OVCC teachings, many caregivers have started to realize the importance of educating both children alike without discriminating the orphans and vulnerable ones.
At Muhintiri village on 8th July, 2014 when OVCC members visited the orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers and educate them on how to not discriminate orphans and vulnerable children and instead care for for them fairly like the farmers do to the maize seed when they plant them on their farms and care for them lovely expecting to have more harvest from them. Likewise, the orphans and vulnerable children are like maize seeds to be well treated and cared for by being loved, sent to school so that they are fruitful to their families and communities in the future.
At Ihanja village while OVCC is providing school materials and the other hygiene items for their personal use, and the caregivers were educated about releasing love, well care, education to the orphans and vulnerable children so that `they prepare the good future of the children. OVCC works to transform harsh treatment, discrimination, lack of love, etc from the caregivers to Well fair treatments, equal rights to all children, full of love, etc to the caregivers of the orphans and vulnerable children. The event took place at Ihanja village on 3rd July, 2014.
The photo above shows the orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers at Ihanja village when OVCC organization members visited them and taught the caregivers and the children to be cheerful and of good courage because their future will be good if they will invest education for their children.
OVCC organization has provided the orphans and vulnerable children with school materials and personal hygiene items for their use when OVCC visited them at Misughaa village on 1st of July, 2014 and educate the caregivers on How to Fairly Treat these kind of children they live with. OVCC just enjoyed the trip to Misughaa village through a little bit steep hill down and up Misughaa village and the other village on the Rift Valley.
The photo above shows the teaching session going at Nkuhi village on 26th of June, 2014 while orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers, village's governmental leaders and the other villages attended the teaching offered by OVCC organization on "How to Fairly Care for the OVC, Love them, send them to school, not to discriminate them, etc. OVCC has discovered that real teachings are needed to change the situation which is not good over the orphans and vulnerable children. Because other many orphans and vu;lnerable children are unfairly treated and been given heavy tasks to do instead of treat them fairly. OVCC has responsibility to educate and teach the caregivers and the community in general in Ikungi District which is composed of almost 92 villages.
Orphans and vulnerable children on the photo above are getting materials for support that they could little bit manage their cleannes and able to attend schools. In this village, Nkuhi village, OVCC has recognized that many orphans and vulnerable children do not attend school in case of their caregivers with no Educational motivation. So, many OVC do not attend schools because they are not backup by their caregivers and the parents to go to school. OVCC has supported them with school materials, soap and educate the caregivers on how to care for the orphans and vulnerable children as much as to care for the sowed seed of the maize to produce much crops for the benefit of many in the future. They caregivers have been taught to well care for these children by providing them with basic needs, send them to school, love them and to encourage their inner motivation to learn more. This activities took place at Nkuhi village on 26th June, 2014 when OVCC members visited the OVC with their caregivers without forgetting the village's government leaders; as well as they were reminded to escape HIV/AIDS risks.
At Makiungu and Unyaghumpi village on 24th June, 2014, the caregivers and the orphans and vulnerable children were together listening to lessons which OVCC organization was educating them about. According to the education that the caregivers, OVC and the community in general receive or get from OVCC,they should change the habit on unfairly treating the OVC and instead they treat them fairly and send them to school so that they become the professionals of tomorrow.
The same this to the orphans and vulnerable children at Dung'unyi village, at the same date on 21st of June, 2014, OVCC did educate the caregivers, village leaders and the community in general about loving orphans and vulnerable children, encouraging them that the thing which are visible by the outer parts (materials) cannot bring peace, happiness and health to somebody. Except the things which come from inward cause happiness, health, etc. With abundance of materials (wealth), does not bring happiness, health and joy if you don't love people, care for the people and share things with them. So, we should love the orphans and vulnerable children so that they build confidence that they have some people behind them and they can manage to do whatever good.
