OVCT organization is doing its best to visit in the villages and meet with the orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers and the community in general to educate them about Child Rights, Health, Nutrition, Life Skills and HIV/AIDS preventions.
It has been seemed that many of the orphans and vulnerable children do encounter with difficulties in their life because they are as if they don't have advocates (people to pleed for them, talk for them).
OVCT has ever met with such cases around the villages when the members working. Some of the caregivers of the orphans and vulnerable children, do treat the children unfair and harshly. So, the children do feel like they are alone in this world without any body to speak on behalf of them.
This is why OVCT is developing the project to educate the community around the villages in Ikungi District (about more than 92 of them) and make sure that many caregivers and the community are aware of fairly treating orphans and vulnerable children around them.
In every month, OVCT organization has to work on one or two villages by organizing the meeting with the orphans and vulnerable children with their caregivers and the community in general and educate them even supporting the children with materials.
The caregivers and the orphans and vulnerable children have been educated about Child's Rights; Many caregivers benefited from the teachings and said that there are other caregivers who treat the orphans children as slaves in their village. So, the teachings have real changed their behavior and will start treating the orphans children fairly. Also the event was at Mtunduru village on 29th April 2017.

The photo above shows OVCC members are working in distributing food to the orphans and vulnerable children at Isalanda village on 1st April 2017. More than 90 children were provided with food, but also others returned back home without food because the food OVCC had, went short of every one to get. So OVCC has planned another way to find another means of getting some food and give those who didn't get.
Along with the education to the orphans and vulnerable children, OVCC do support them with the materials as an illustration or example for the other people to imitate.
