Introduction

This organization was legally established on 13th April, 2010 at Iringa with all legal rights to operate in accomplishing its mission, vision and goals. The organization was established under the leadership of Majaliwa Mbogela who is the chairperson of the organization. The organization started with five officials who were ready to cooperate in assisting the vulnerable groups.

Historical Background of the organization

The organization was created by a woman known as Lautness Fungo in the 1985 with the idea to help young girls to attend to school and to defend women rights because at that women had no right to education and to expression therefore she took that opportunity to form this organization. Though she had all these good ideas her organization was not legally registered. The most difficult she faced was that she had no formal education so she lacked the basic skills such as treading and writing and povery was the other problem she faced. With her husband Mayova Mbogela they succeed to send only male children to school since they were the once who were accepted to be registered at schools. After the death of his husband in 1985 she was the one who remained to take care his children. Out of six children she had two of them were female who were not sent to school a thing which discouraged her mostly. From her four sons one of them was Majaliwa Mbogela. Majaliwa was told by her mother through the education he had to form the organization which will be legally recorgnized under the country laws. In 2010 Majaliwa went to Uganda for university studies where he came up with the idea of the name Children Care Development Organization (CCDO).
