Earlier the year 2013, ten (10) volunteers across the country recognize the importance of endowing with personal overhaul to the community especially youth development in mutual aid with other civic-minded, good moral character and reputation persons through voluntary organisation after glimpse the whole bunch of problems that youths are facing today. To name a few, here are some problems of youngsters; unemployment - poverty, lack of education, learning disabilities, poor health stipulation, parasites, injury, starvation, dehydration, drugs and drug abuse, erosion of values and proper moral, facing deaths of loved ones, and so, so, so much more! It is very heartbreaking, and sometimes, they just do not know what they are going through.

The most important aspect of solving these problems facing youth there is the need for a good youth development policy; due to the fact that youth are a big workforce in Tanzania (60% of total workforce). It cannot be overemphasized that we are a group of people which have a unique opportunity and role to participate in the development of the nation. In the community, it is the youth who are expected to take the responsibility of production, defence and security, rendering various social services and preserving the culture. In addition, youth have the opportunity and ability to be developed in knowledge and skills which prepare them to participate in decision making.

The brilliant development of youth has been one of the fundamental features of Tanzania's ancient philosophy. However, during the last few decades global circumstances have forced our country into a situation where it is becoming increasingly difficult to practice a life style that does not push this planet towards doom concern development of youth. During the last ten years, there has been a gratifying resurgence of this brilliant development of youth in this country.

Youth development activities touch almost all sectors of development. Hence in order to successfully implement youth activities, relevant sectors should incorporate youth issues in their sectorial policies, programmes and projects and together with that we should participate in the implementation of youth development programmes. Sectors most relevant to youth development include lands health, education, natural resources and tourism, finance, communication and social services, minerals, non-governmental organisations, private companies, communities and families.

Hence, led to the formation of Tanzania Youth Development Association (TYDA) as an organisation for line of work within the field of youth development that is a non-profit, non-trade organization, non-religious, non-political and non-governmental organization, and believes that development of youth is an indispensable human right.
