SAWAKA is a local civil society organisation legally registered working in Northern part of Tanzania.Since its inception way back in 1995, SAWAKA works to strive to see a community without age discrimination, protects and respect older people especially older women, and other vulnerable groups including orphaned children, widows and people with disabilities.The organisation core interventions are mainly focusing on Social protection, health, and Rights (advocacy and lobbying).
We have expanded our geographical coverage and working in rural remote areas which requires vehicle due to nature of activities and geographical areas (receive heavy rainfalls and hilly).
We that SAWAKA is looking for a committed volunteer who can help to develop successful proposals for resources mobilisation on transport facilities. Skills required including proposal writing skills, project planning and management. Since our office are found in remote areas, s/he should be ready to work and live in remote areas (Karagwe District). Duration is to work with SAWAKA for about 2 years or more depending on agreement.
